| Jerry could be an All-Pro defensive tackle when all is said and done. He is quick off the ball, slicing and dicing his way to the carrier on run plays and the quarterback on passing plays. His low center of gravity makes him tough to block. Jerry plays much quicker than most defensive tackles in football. He looks to be a Tommie Harris-type defensive tackle, using speed and great athleticism to make up for any lack in size compared to other defensive tackles. In 2008, he had an impressive 18 tackles-for-loss and seven sacks from the tackle position. He is tough and has shown a propensity for playing through injuries. He is a bit too aggressive at times, taking him out of play too often for a player with his talents. He also plays a bit high against the run on occasion, letting the lineman dominate him when it should be the opposite. Jerry is a possible All-Pro level defensive tackle who should easily be taken in the first round of the draft. |
